On the Plaza in January
2025 - Another year in the books: DONE and GONE! Whether we’re trying to top the incredible past year, or we’re looking for a fresh start, 2026 is upon us and it’s looking promising so far. Let’s help it along a bit by checking out what’s ahead. We have a PACKED schedule here on the Plaza for you fine folks. Who wants a sneak peek into the coming year? But first, January:
Downtown Lights
We still have a couple weeks left to enjoy the downtown lights, so make sure you carve out some time in the evening to enjoy this beautiful sight. Just because Santa is on vacay, doesn’t mean we’re unplugging…yet. There’s still time to grab your crew, meet them at your favorite downtown eatery, and meander through the festive glow along the creek.
Ice Skating Continues
Now that winter is FIANLLY here, we are in full swing on Idaho’s only ice rink and ribbon. Surrounded by glimmering lights, the Plaza is still transformed into a winter wonderland for you and your friends and family to enjoy making memories that’ll last a lifetime. Skate sessions will continue through Valentine’s Day.

Signature Events in January
What’s a Silent Disco? So glad you asked!
A silent disco is a unique event where participants dance to music played through wireless headphones instead of traditional speakers. Each attendee receives a pair of headphones and can toggle between two DJs, each playing different genres while they dance. It's an innovative and unforgettable party experience for people of all ages! Here on the Plaza, we put our own spin on this fun idea, and you get to ice skate while listening to your favorite songs.
Not comfortable on the ice? Feel free to hangout on stage with the DJs while you dance the night away.
Session 1| 5-7pm | Jump back and forth between:
JILLY.FM always brings her love for the groove, soulful house, and worldly rhythms to the stage. She aims for you to share an unforgettable experience with yourself and others on the dance floor (or on the ice, in this case!)
MAKE BELIEVE turns any event into a party! He takes disco and soul favorites and puts his own spin on it (quite literally!) He’ll get you up off your feet and onto the ice.
Session 2 | 8-10pm | Jump back and forth between:
ERIC RHODES takes different genres of music - any era - to create a unique mash-up that’ll keep the party going all night long! Country with modern pop? 90’s punk with 70’s funk? He brings the magic and gets you dancing!
POETIC transforms any event into a night you won’t forget! Her perfect fusion of fun, bouncy beats hits every time, so plan on staying on your feet (and in your skates!)
