About Indian Creek Plaza
As the Treasure Valley’s premier outdoor event destination, Indian Creek Plaza has earned its nickname as “Caldwell’s Living Room.”
With more than 300 programmed days each year, the plaza transforms with the seasons—featuring Idaho’s only ice ribbon and rink in the winter and a vibrant splash pad in the summer.
Indian Creek Plaza hosts an ever‑growing lineup of live concerts, festivals, community performances, and exhibitions. It also serves as the heart of Caldwell’s Signature Events, drawing more than half a million visitors downtown annually.
Since its opening in the summer of 2018, the plaza has become one of Idaho’s most beloved gathering places—a spot where friends, families, and neighbors come together to create memories that last for generations.

About Destination Caldwell
Indian Creek Plaza is owned by the City of Caldwell and privately managed by Destination Caldwell, which oversees plaza operations, hospitality, event programming, and the coordination of privately funded activities on behalf of the City of Caldwell.
Destination Caldwell is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded by local business and community leaders with a mission to establish downtown Caldwell and the greater Caldwell region as one of Idaho’s premier gathering places. Formed through a grassroots effort of local citizens, downtown property owners, and business leaders, Destination Caldwell was created to expand opportunities to live, work, and play together.
The organization’s purpose—then and now—is to strengthen the city’s and surrounding region’s economic vitality by leveraging Caldwell’s unique assets to attract and retain visitors, businesses, and investment.
Since its founding in 2013, Destination Caldwell’s initiatives have attracted millions of visitors and generated millions of dollars in economic impact for Caldwell and the surrounding area.
This authority was granted by City of Caldwell Resolution 12-18 on January 16, 2018. Click here to read the Memorandum of Understanding. Destination Caldwell also has been granted authority from the city to manage all vendors on the plaza in Ordinance 3222, as amended on July 2, 2019. Questions or concerns regarding the management agreement can be addressed to info@destinationcaldwell.com.

Our Pillars
-
Small-town charm is abundant, while industry and business are booming across the city. The economic development team from the City of Caldwell has done a tremendous job of attracting new businesses. Since 2018, over 80 new businesses have come to Caldwell. Historic landmarks intersect with local artisan boutiques, inviting adventurers to experience our unique history and write some of their own. Destination Caldwell serves as a regional destination marketing office, functioning as the marketing arm and a centralized business support hub to help strengthen the economic health of the business improvement district.
-
Over 300 annual events are programmed by the Destination Caldwell team. These activations are the centerpiece of our community, including ice-skating, concerts, farmer’s markets, cultural events, and family-friendly themed expositions. These initiatives drew over 3.5 million visitors into downtown in 2025. Destination Caldwell believes in the power of community and service. This is demonstrated in several of our programs, including the SK8 Ribbon Coalition, a free youth mentorship program that focuses on teaching students fundamental life skills through ice skating, serving over 50 youth annually.

Agritourism: In 2025, Destination Caldwell continues to expand its agritourism marketing efforts in partnership with local hobby farms, producers, State of Idaho agricultural affiliates, and farm-to-fork restaurants. These efforts highlight Caldwell’s AgVenture Trail and promote authentic, hands-on agricultural experiences, including farm visits, seasonal offerings, wine and cider tastings, and locally made artisan products. Several new wineries have been established in the area, with additional projects in development, positioning the Snake River AVA and Sunnyslope region as one of the fastest-growing wine regions in the country. Through targeted marketing and storytelling, Destination Caldwell connects visitors with Idaho’s agricultural heritage while supporting small-scale and emerging agricultural businesses.
