Idaho Tejano Music Festival

Idaho Tejano Music Festival

Two years after Covid, we are back! The Tejano Music Festival is in the works and planning is well under way. Everyone is invited to this free event to be held at Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell.

The Tejano Music Festival event is organized to bring and keep Tejano Music alive and going in the state of Idaho and in our Community. Many people migrated to Idaho from Texas and other states to work in agricultural labor and brought our Tejano Music and dancing traditions.  There have been many individuals that for over 60 plus years have worked tirelessly to keep our music Roots and Dancing Alive. Tejano Dances were held in downtown Caldwell and other communities on weekends where we gathered to meet friends, enjoy the music and dance, many met their lifelong partners. Tejano Music is an artistic style of music enjoyed by people of all generations and we would like to continue that tradition and pass it on to future generations.

This year's event will feature several local bands, DJ's., Dancers, and an Accordion playoff.   Food vendors, merchandise vendors, and informational booths will be available.

The water fountain will be open for family entertainment, you are welcome to bring your lawn chairs if you like. Tables and chairs with an umbrella are available on a first come first serve basis.

Idaho Tejano Community Organization strives to promote cross-cultural and inclusive communication and activities. We promote events and activities revolving around culture and heritage of Tejano/Latinos. The production of events and activities occur on an annual basis with the participation of our community and host of volunteers and donors. We would appreciate your support in bringing this event back after 2 years of Covid disruption.
