Children will enjoy downtown’s celebration of Easter with an egg hunt, Easter bunny photo opportunity, and the cutest ‘chick’ costume contest sponsored by Custom Glass. For those eager to get back out in the garden or try their hand at homesteading, there will be classes on spring planting and backyard pest control as well as opportunities to pick up the supplies to get started without leaving downtown Caldwell.

Easter Egg Hunts - 11:15am

Under 3 years old - Luxe Reel Theatre Plaza
4 to 6 years old - Indian Creek Plaza
7 to 10 years old - Historic Train Station

Cutest Chick Contest - 1:00pm

Create a chicken-themed costume for this fun kids contest sponsored by Custom Glass and Joey & Lauren from My 102.7 will emcee! Contest open to any child 5 years old and under. Costumes will be judged on originality, detail, and completeness. Arrive at the Idaho Central Credit Union Stage between 12:15 and 12:45 to register your child for the contest. You may accompany your child on the stage. Prizes for first, second and third place provided by Bears Knight Out Toy and Gift Shop!

Easter Bunny Photos - 12:00 - 3:00pm

Snap a selfie with the Easter Bunny at Indian Creek Plaza! Visiting and taking photos with the Easter Bunny is free. A photographer is not provided.

Garden Education Classes - 12:00, 1:00, and 2:00pm

Classes on the hour include:

  • Wool dryer ball, t-shirt tote bag, and up-cycled fabric bookmark make-n-takes with Sage Wollens

  • Pollinator, Vermiculture/Composting and Master Gardner Information Q & A sessions by University of Idaho, Canyon County Extension Master Gardners

  • Marigold planting make-n-take with Blue Barn Produce

Spring Market - 11:00AM - 3:00PM

Grab what you need to get your your backyard garden started at the Spring Market! The market will also feature food, craft vendors, and free children’s activities.

Applications for our 2020 event will be available in Fall 2019. We are seeking agricultural vendors related to: plant starts; seed saving/exchange; pollinators; value-added products; small animal husbandry and backyard chicken care; natural fabrics and dyes; education and more.
